Corydon, IN

July 1, 2017 by SuzAnne Leave a Comment

Southern Indiana just might be one of the countries best kept secrets with its rolling hills and thick forests. Corydon, the former capital of Indiana and site of the only Civil War battle fought in the state, is a quaint, historical town that is worth a stop. The old buildings are beautifully restored and interesting. There’s even a glassblower’s shop that features demonstrations.

O’Bannon Woods State Park is part of the Harrison-Crawford State Forest as is Wyandotte Caves. It is a beautiful, well-kept park with a lot to do. We had deer come close to our campsite and even found a box turtle. We definitely want to visit again!

The best part of this stop was meeting up with family.
