Birds joined us almost the entire time we were in the Atlantic for the shark cage dive. We saw a lot of gulls but we will focus on the two birds that were totally new to us, the Wilson’s Storm-Petrel and the Great Shearwater.

-Lives in the open ocean, seldom coming to shore
-Nests on hilly islands in the South Atlantic
-Dives into water to hunt
-Eats fish, squid, and crustaceans
-Can be found from Newfoundland and Greenland to the South Atlantic
